Thank you for attending the workshop on 24 June 2026.

Green text on white background reads: 'Two lessons that will transform your writing by Dr Jennifer Jones' in the corners of the image are decorative green and yellow triangles and dots.

Useful resources

I've created a page for my blog posts and other resources for academic writers – click the button below to learn more:

Annotated bibliography of writing books – mostly from the UoP library – created for the Introductory workshop for my writing coaching here:

If you're suffering from imposter syndrome, have a look at Lou Solomon's Tedx Charlotte Talk, "The Surprising Solution to the Imposter Syndrome" - I love how she puts her internal negative voice in its place.

Writing is easier when you make it rewarding. Read 'How to stay motivated to write' for some suggestions on making it surprising or use this tracker to plan your rewards in advance.

Side view of books on a shelf - titles not really legible.

This book is for business owners, but the writing process is the same whatever you're writing. Use the chapter titles to guide your reading and email me if you can't find what you need, but suspect is in the book.

Read chapters 22 and 23 for help with staying organised.

Your first draft's only job is to be done! Anne Lamott agrees with me on this one:

'Newsletters' in green text on a semi-transparent white background. Under the semi-transparent layer is a photo of my hands and torso as I type on a laptop at a cafe. There's a cup of coffee, some books, and my smartphone next to the laptop.
  • Weekly Substack called WriteEasy for business owners looking for help with their writing
  • Anaesthesia Culture, a Substack on how the Victorians responded to the introduction of anaesthesia
  • Scandalous Books, a Substack on banned books
  • My Newsletters

I have several things called newsletters. You can check them out below:
