This workshop is perfect for you if you want to write a successful book that excites your readers and turns them into clients, but you're afraid to start because:
I know it's scary, but you're not on your own.
It’s scary to start a book. I know – I’ve written three of them. Each one started with a little wobble. A big part of that wobble for me, and for every author I’ve ever worked with, is worrying that it won’t land with your audience.
That no one will connect with it. That it won't convert any net clients. That it will fail and you’ll have wasted a lot of time and effort.
My clients and I move past this wobble by putting the reader first. Before we choose a topic and long before we pick a title, we get clear on these three things:
How would it feel if you knew you could write a book that truly connected with your potential clients and easily converted them into your business?
You'll be able to do that when you write your book for one ideal reader. When you do that,
During our time together we will:

The feedback I've had from so many who read Does It Really Need to Be This Hard? is, "it's like you're in my head Abbie... and you know exactly how I'm feeling."
Abbie Broad
Why am I the right person to help you with this?
I’ve been writing and teaching writing for more than 23 years. Over the years, I’ve worked with a lot of different kinds of writers – business owners, undergraduates, academics, biographers, therapists, and more. One thing they all have in common is worrying about how their work will land with their audience.
I worry about this every time I write, too. It’s something that all responsible writers consider. It’s also something that can create writer’s block, so over the years, I’ve developed a method for dealing with it.
I did this work with the first person to complete my group programme There’s a Book in Every Expert, Abbie Broad. She wrote her book for an ideal (fictional) reader – a 42 year old married mum who’s starting her business now that her kids are in school all day. This excerpt from my third book, Ready to Publish shows you what happened next:
When Abbie sent the draft to her cover designer, a German man in his early 30s who wasn’t married and didn’t have children, she thought he’d have a quick look through the opening pages to get a feel for the book before he created a few sample covers for her to choose from.
Imagine her surprise when he texted her the next morning to say he’d gotten so wrapped up in her book, he’d stayed up into the wee hours to read the whole thing!
Why was a man who had precious little in common with Abbie’s reader so engrossed by her book? Because Abbie’s an engaging writer. Her writing is engaging mostly because she writes to one person who needs to hear her message. By making her book relevant and necessary to one ideal reader, she makes it so for lots of different kinds of readers. (page 45)
