Kim O’Neill – author, podcast host, and coach

Kim and I were friends when we were kids in Oklahoma. We recently reconnected, and I was thrilled to interview her for First Steps to Your First Book!

In addition to having been a stellar soccer player (we were on the same team way back when) and singer in a funk/reggae/neo-soul/R&B/jazz band, Kim is known for being the inspirational host of the Every Day is a New Day Show; a 2x bestselling author; twice-certified Transformational Confidence Coach; Interview Coach; Reiki Master; and former Crime Analyst.

The Every Day is a New Day podcast and LIVE show has featured movers and shakers from the White House and national TV to awesome “everyday” people who’ve exhibited inspiring strength in overcoming their own adversities. Kim takes a holistic approach in coaching empathic, heart-centred individuals out of self-doubt and disempowerment and into courageous confidence.

In 2019, she co-authored the #1 bestseller You Are Loved – An Inspired, Meditative Visual Journey; in 2018, she launched her first guided meditation on the Insight Timer app; and in 2017, her blog was selected as one of Feedspot.com’s Top 100 Life Coach Websites and Blogs, and her first bestselling book Positive Minded People was published. Kim is most often asked how she went from being a Crime Analyst to coaching and energy work, and loves to empower people to be who they truly are.

This anthology contains the real stories of nine people who learned to live powerfully by overcoming their adversities. The stories in it highlight the challenges of suicidal thoughts, depression, poverty, failed relationships, LGBT issues, spiritual struggles, family setbacks, addiction, and everything in between. No rock was left unturned. These authors pour their hearts, and express their experiences, in rare and raw form, all to deliver practical truths that only a true survivor can give.

Kim’s Chapter

Chapter 4 ~ Intuition: Can you hear me now?

In this chapter she shares about a challenging time in her life when multiple events culminated into her own “dark night of the soul” experience ~ a breakdown that ultimately led to a breakthrough. This is where she first started meditating and taking a more active role in her own healing journey that led her to being able to support others in an even deeper, more powerful way.

In our interview, this is the story Kim talks about not wanting to share, but finding that it was the one that needed to be told anyway.

This hardcover book has 39 stunning original images of the Florida Keys taken by Liz Acar and a written, guided meditation written by Kim.

Approximately 63% of the population are visual learners. This is meditation done differently.

This book is excellent as a gift to yourself or a loved one, and also makes a beautiful coffee table book. You can use it as a daily meditation tool or when you just need to connect back to you, be reminded of who you are and regain inner peace. You ARE loved.
