You’re a busy coach, do you really have time to write a book?
Yes.
You don’t need to take several months off to go away to a cabin to write. I’ll show you how to fit writing your book in around you schedule. You just need to commit to finding a few half hour writing slots a couple of times a day for about 7 weeks.
From week 8, you’ll be revising or waiting on feedback, not writing!
If you’re wondering what this looks like week by week, this table gives you the details. Most of the work of writing and polishing your book happens in the first 12 weeks. After that, you’ll be getting feedback from beta readers and your proofreader.
Weeks 1 to 7 | Write draft 1, 1st Steps mini course, and first 3 workshops |
Weeks 8 to 12 | Revise draft 1, workshops 4 and 5 |
Weeks 13 to 16 | Send your manuscript to your beta readers |
Week 17 | Workshop 6 and apply beta readers’ suggestions |
Week 18 | Send manuscript to your proofreader |
Week 20 | Apply proofreader’s suggestions and send to publisher |
What will writing a book do for you?
Writing a book will give you greater clarity than ever on how you help your clients. It will also teach you a lot about yourself: what motivates you and what distracts you. You will be able to apply these lessons to other areas of your life and to your client work.
You know you need to write a book so you can help your existing clients and attract new ones, but you’ve never written one before. Or maybe you’ve tried writing one on your own, but found the whole thing overwhelming and difficult.
In this course, I’ve laid it out step by step so you’ll always know what you need to do next. I’ve also made sure each step is small enough to be manageable, so you won’t be overwhelmed by trying to do everything at once.

The course is built on a writing strategy I have been teaching for 20 years. It takes you from the idea that you want to write a book to a ready to publish manuscript.
By the end of the course you’ll have written a book you can confidently recommend to clients.
The best part is that I will be there to support you along the way and to celebrate your completed book.
When can you start?
I open the doors for this program every 6 to 8 weeks. They’re next open for up to 12 new authors from 7 to 18 June.

Proofreading discount
When you sign up, you’ll qualify for a discount on my proofreading services. My usual rate is ÂŁ20 per 1,000 words (rounded to the nearest thousand). So proofreading a 40,000 word book would cost ÂŁ800. Please note that more involved editorial services (copy editing or developmental editing) cost more than proofreading.
- Premium+ customers will save ÂŁ7 per 1,000 words. So they would pay ÂŁ13/1,000 words, or ÂŁ520 for a 40,000 word book.
- Premium customers will save ÂŁ2 per 1,000 words. They would pay ÂŁ18/1,000 words, or ÂŁ720 for a 40,000 word book.
Please note that my editorial calendar fills quickly, and I typically schedule jobs several months in advance. If you decide you want me to proofread your book, let me know as soon as possible so I can take a down payment (33% of the total job, with 33% due when I commence work and the balance upon completion) and block the time in my calendar.
Publishing offer
Publishing your book (formatting it, helping you get the ISBN numbers you need, seeing that the British Library gets a deposit copy, and putting your book on Amazon and Ingram Spark) is a service I haven’t offered before. The first 5 people who book this service will get a steep discount. To qualify for this discount, you must enrol in this six-month program. Book a call to discuss the details!
